Performance Evidence

Evidence of the ability to:

develop and refine creative ideas for work through exploration, review and discussion with key others

identify, select, assess and use techniques, tools, equipment and materials for creative work

safely and sustainably use and adapt techniques to realise ideas in creative work

create a physical, verbal, virtual, visual or written record of the creative work produced

clean and maintain work area, and tools and equipment used, in a safe and sustainable manner.

Note: If a specific volume or frequency is not stated, then evidence must be provided at least once.


Knowledge Evidence

To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:

discuss ways to source information and develop, refine and communicate ideas for creative work

outline physical properties and capabilities of the range of materials, tools and equipment used in creative work

summarise ways of exploring, adapting and combining techniques and materials to achieve different effects

clarify formal elements and principles of design and how they apply to the production of creative work in the relevant context

discuss historical and theoretical contexts for creative work

summarise sustainability issues associated with tools and materials used in creative work

explain procedures for working safely in the specific area of creative work.
